Investing with Looming Deficit

This week’s weekly clarity coaching is a video from Fox Business News discussing “How the Government Deficits Impacts How You Invest”. Mark Matson does a great job keeping the hype in check and once again providing a rational and prudent approach to the TRADITIONAL mantra “chase the market”.

Have you ever wondered why most of the financial information on the air waves is centered on short term news bites attempting justification for proactively managing our wealth?? Changing ones investment to correspond with the current economic environment?

Allow me to give my take from this 3 minute bullet point interview attached. It does not matter the social, political or economic environment we finds yourselves in as we live through history….investing is logically simple: own equities, diversify, rebalance and realize today’s news has no bearing on long term prudent investing….all are merely speed bumps experienced on life’s investing highway.

Having a background in Search and Rescue from with US Navy and former president of the local county SAR team…I remember the main lesson that’s been woven through all the incredible training I’ve received from mind blowing S.E.R.E. school to basic flight training; Do Not PANIC!!! Chances of survival and success increase dramatically when you keep a level head and keep thinking. Keeping a level head as others around are in panic mode running around spinning plates like an acrobat in a circus is what coaches are paid to do. Yes?

Watch this week’s video and let us know what you think.
